Vietnam, My War, or at least the war I was involved in, was the result of a lie (The Tonkin Gulf), well most likely many lies. I don't remember having hate for any of the opposing soldiers, Vietnamese soldiers, even though they were doing their best to do me in and very sad to say were successful in many instances, However we did kill hundreds of thousands of them, the sad results and purpose of war. I have talked with many Vietnamese and they didn't seem to hold any hate for me or us, even though we did invade their country. If one can't find hate of a people in war how can one find hate of people not in war?
There are people who I don't like to spend a great deal of time around or with and I don't especially like them, however Hate is something else. There are people in our country who hate others, because of thier religious beliefs and many others (them) who hate us for our religious beliefs. I don't have a religion, so I find this very difficult to understand. I may not be the most loving individual, but I don't hold hate. The Beatles have a song, all you need is love. Hate may be the most destructive emotion there is. What or who do you hate and WHY? Butch
