How much are you in the moment? We live in a world of constant available distractions and you can experience never being in the moment. We can get up in the morning and have constant background noise, attention demanding devices, cell phones, TV or whatever. Much of the population goes through life with a cell phone implanted to their ear and more than one person has told me that they would be lost without their phone. Much of this background noise/sound, comes complete with the nearly constant blabber of commercial advertising, designed to convince you that you need something that's more, bigger, newer, better, improved, the latest, a new color, or whatever. Commercial advertising is the worst background noise there is because much of it is subliminally enhanced. Commercial advertising commonly has messages hidden inside of messages, designed to communicate directly to your subconscious.
All of this distracting stuff robs you of the most wonderful thing in your life, now, this moment, because that is all there is. I am able to truly experience the moment, much of the time and I don't know anyone who can be in the moment all of the time, however it is possible. Practice being in the moment, gradually ween yourself from your background noise and other distractions, your health will improve, your life, your relationships, everything about will will get "better".
