I was going to have Placebos be the topic of this article, however Diabetes and Alzheimer's Disease has once again come to my attention. An acquaintance of mine has just been diagnosed with Diabetes, he is 48, so I presume it is adult onset type 2, whatever, he has the diagnoses. In my conversation with him, I told him that he did not have to have Diabetes and I informed him of several alternative resources to check out (not medical resources) and that if he didn't gain some knowledge about alternative healthcare modalities related to diabetes, that he quite likely would have this life changing disease for the rest of his life and that Alzheimer's may also be a part of his future (his chances of suffering from Alzheimer's has increased by about 80%).
One in four Americans has Diabetes and if everything stays the same, life styles, eating habits, medical profits from diabetes, these dismal statistics will become even more dismal. At the base of this is the government sponsored diet of low fat, high carbohydrate. Low fat high carbohydrate diet/eating habits is a near perfect prescription for Diabetes and Alzheimer's.
The American "Sugar" industry spends about $20.5 million per year lobbying the Federal Government and when political contributions, dark money, etc. is taken into account, the total could be as high as $300 million. This money purchases congressmen, senators and other bureaucrats, which in turn purchases/creates friendly legislation for the American "Sugar" industry. Now, the health care system/industry (Obamacare) spends about 35% of its vast budget (money from you and I that is) addressing health care issues closely tied to excess consumption of sugar. Start thinking while you still can and cut way, way back on your sugar consumption and other simple carbohydrates, you will be able to keep your toes "forever".
