I just finished watching the movie "Captain Fantastic" (great show) and one scene depicted their family in a fast-food restaurant, where they first saw and experienced being around "Fat" people. They wondered if these unfortunate individuals were all sick? Well OK. Now, some interesting information (No, they did not eat at the Fast-Food restaurant) .
In the 1960s the average weight of an American Woman was about 140lbs and now the average weight is more than 165lbs. In 1960 the average American man weighed in at about 165lbs, now the average is more than 190lbs. No doubt we Americans are getting fatttter. But are we getting smarter?
Now, about 50 million Americans suffer from neurological disorders and the numbers were so low in the 1060s that the statistics didn't exist. Autism in the 1960s was rare. Now autism strikes about 1 (one) in every 70 children. Something is going on here that requires several good long looks at "ALL" possible contributing factors. Bob
