I use alternative health care modalities, I eat as much of good food as possible (non GMO), I don't get the flu shot or the flu, I haven't had an antibiotic for about 40 years, I don't use the medical, I know that I am health self-empowered (quantum physics type stuff) and there is something, here now that can possibly add a health challenge to my life. I know that I will make it through this challenge without a problem, however I am aware of a major health challenge facing the world and that challenge is antibiotic resistant bacteria (super bugs). They are here now and they killed about 23,000 people in the U.S., last year and they infected about 2,000,000. More lived than died, because of having the infections surgically removed and their bodies, somehow, were able to resist the bacteria (however, they remain at risk for re-infection).
These "untreatable" infections are basically the result of antibiotic over use and/or antibiotics not used in the proper way. Also, antibiotics are widely used in corporate farming (They use tons of antibiotics and that is passed on to you in the food you eat). The more antibiotics we put into the environment and into people, the more antibiotic resistant infections, super bugs, are created. Many believe that the age if antibiotic use in medicine as a panacea has ended. So, what next?
If the threat of super bug infections is added to the movement for government sponsored medical care, the future is not that great. The government has known of antibiotic resistance as a threat to public health for years and it is still government as usual, and, as usual, they are not up to the challenges (little , or at least not nearly enough, is being done by the government). I believe that the time for alternative health care modalities has arrived and is well passed due. Empower yourself - become health self empowered - get some real knowledge, it may well save your life. A good place to find out more to to PBS.org/frontline "hunting The Nightmare Bacteria.
